Viewpoint Dual Recovery Policy Update
The well-being and safety of our clients, their families, and our staff are always our top priority at Viewpoint Dual Recovery Center.
Viewpoint Dual Recovery will continue to serve our recovery community during this time. In conjunction with our existing infection control policies, we are closely monitoring CDC updates on the impact of the coronavirus as they are released. Our staff has been trained in infection prevention and control.
For more information, we encourage you to please take some time to read the Center for Disease Control’s guidelines on the Coronavirus (COVID-19). We are continuing to accept clients into our programs at this time.
Viewpoint Dual Recovery specializes in treating individuals who are struggling with mental health and substance use disorder. Among that group is often college students who are struggling with co-occurring disorders such as a mental health disorder and a substance use disorder. Our goal is to help young people get the help they need in order to find their way to health and happiness. If you believe that mental health and substance use disorder are affecting your personal well-being or academic success, Viewpoint Dual Recovery can help. If you are attending classes at any of the following schools, you are eligible to enter:
We are hosting an essay competition for undergraduate and postgraduate students (18+) who are (or were) enrolled in any of the following schools:
In the essay, we would like you to examine your personal struggles with mental health and substance use. Please write 500-1,000 words exploring your experiences with mental health, substance use, and your treatment experiences (if available). Please use the following header in the top left corner of the first page (do not include a title page):
Your title should be centered and include the phrase “Viewpoint Scholarship Essay” or something similar.
Please check back on our website over the next few weeks for details. The winner of the competition will receive 90 free days of treatment at our inpatient mental health center in Prescott, AZ along with a $500 check upon satisfactory completion of the program. The subject of your emailed submission should appear as follows:
First and Last Name, Age, College
If you are an Arizona college student who is living in or around the Prescott, AZ, area, you are eligible to enter the competition. If English is not your first language, just let us know in the first paragraph. While we deeply appreciate essays that have been proofread and spell-checked, being a native English speaker is not a requirement.
In order to protect your privacy, we will only be announcing the winner’s name, essay and $500 prize. We will not be announcing that they attended 90 days of treatment. We may post part of your essay on our website and social media even if you don’t win; by entering this competition, you agree to transfer ownership of your writing to Viewpoint Dual Recovery. If you would like your submission to remain anonymous, please add the word “anonymous” to the subject header of your email. $500 prize is contingent upon full compliance to and completion of the program. Viewpoint Dual Recovery reserves the right to end the competition at any time.
