Our treatment team consists of caring professionals who possess a combination of clinical and firsthand experiences which guarantees and understand, healing, educational and practical plan for recovery.
The clinical staff at Viewpoint Recovery Center is dedicated to offer you the best possible treatment to meet your individualized goals. We work together to provide you with an interdisciplinary team dedicated to your care throughout your stay at Viewpoint. Your treatment team consists of the Viewpoint management team, Psychiatrist, your Primary Therapist, the Clinical Director, and support staff. The treatment team meets on a weekly basis to discuss your progress and recommendations for assignments that are tailored to help you address your treatment goals.
Amy Fackrell, JD, MACP
Chief Executive Officer
Amy Fackrell made a commitment to meet the needs of individuals who face mental illness and substance abuse diagnoses. Amy has been active in 12-step recovery programs herself and is committed to helping those who want to make a lifestyle change. After practicing law in California and Texas since 1900, Amy made the decision to leave the law and devote herself to helping those who could not help themselves. After receiving a diagnosis of bi-polar disorder herself, Amy dedicated to further her professional training and received her Masters Degree in Counseling and Psychology in the hopes of learning more about her disorder and to help others that have the desire to recover from mental illness.
National Program Director
Carolyn Novicoff has devoted her professional life to working with individuals and families with multiple diagnoses. After finishing her course work for a doctorate in Education, she accepted the challenge of working as Associate Executive Director for Father Flanagan’s Boys’ Home. Her responsibilities were implementing and overseeing 16 different sites in 12 states outside of the Omaha, Nebraska headquarters. She is delighted to be a part of the Viewpoint program having seen the tremendous need for such dual diagnosis programs across the country.
Chief Financial Officer
Curt Fackrell has had his own struggles with dual diagnosis issues and is committed to giving back to the recovery community. Curt is a certified alcohol and drug counselor and applies his personal experience, passion for helping others and his training to ensure each client receives the best care possible on their road to recovery.
Dr. Terry Vaughan
Dr. Terry Vaughan opened her private practice in 2010. Prior to opening her practice, she served as the Medical Director of West Yavapai Guidance Clinic, and has practiced in Prescott for 18 years. She was one of 41 psychiatrists national awarded the 2009 “Exemplary Psychiatrist” award by NAMI (the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill). She works with patients suffering from mood disorders, substance dependence, developmental disabilities and psychotic disorders. She is Board Certified in psychiatry and works with adults and adolescents 13 and up. She is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the American Medical Association.
John Baumgartner studied at The University of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota and has worked in the field of addiction recovery since 2009. John has committed his life to giving back and helping others that struggle with the disease of addiction and is also an active member in the 12-step community. John works closely with all clients and coordinates their daily activities and individual schedules while also assisting with admissions.
National Clinical Director
Anna Holly has her Master of Science (M.S.) in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis on addiction and co-occurring disorders from Marquette University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Arizona and is also a National Certified Counselor (NCC). She has worked in the counseling field for the past 8 years. She started her career in Milwaukee, WI and relocated to Prescott, AZ in 2013 to find warmer weather. Anna believes in cura personalis (care for the entire person) and takes a bio/psycho/social/spiritual/cultural approach with clients. Anna is trained in EMDR and is passionate about helping individuals with mental health issues and co-occurring alcohol/drug use disorders.
Billy Bilbray earned his undergraduate degree from University of San Diego, and Masters Degree in Addiction Counseling form Grand Canyon University. With over 10 years working in addiction recovery, Billy has a thorough understanding of what it takes to lead a successful, health life in recovery.
Dr. Julia Summers
Dr. Julia Summers is a licensed professional counselor in Arizona and Oregon. In addition, Dr. Summers holds a Ph.D. in Family Psychology with over 17 years of experience with family, adolescent, and adults. Dr. Summers trains and conducts Dialectical Behavioral Therapy groups to provide strategies for managing cravings, anxiety, mood disorders, and depression. DBT assists in regulation of emotions and relapse prevention. It is also used to develop strategies to reduce distress, increase mindfulness, and foster emotional regulation skills. Furthermore, Dr. Summers specializations include working with dual diagnosis, addictions, depression, anxiety, and mood disorders. Dr. Summers also has a private practice in Prescott.
Dr. Summers currently lives in Prescott and enjoys family, hiking, and other outdoor activities. At home, Dr. Summers enjoys spending time with her husband, therapy dogs Morgan Mackenzie, and three cats, Maddy, Tommy boy, and Poppy.
Aviya Bensky has her Master of Arts (MA) in Professional Counseling from Ottawa University where she was certified to treat Trauma, Abuse, and Deprivation. Aviya completed her clinical internship at The Meadows in Wickenburg, which allowed her to delve into the dual diagnosis and trauma treatment world. She is a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) in the state of Arizona. Aviya believe in a holistic (mind/body/spirit) approach to counseling.
